In Chicago I had the chance to meet luxury designer, shop owner and the 2011 Oscars Designer Challenge winner Borris Powell at a fashion event at Conrad Hotel. He is seriously not only a gifted designer but also a great person. His career path of becoming a self-taught designer is immensely inspiring.
Borris Powell designs luxurious garments that are free of complicated designs and focus on what counts: to make one feel beautiful, chic and elegant. His line has recently expanded to include luxury handbags, totes and clutches.
The event took place on the Conrad Hotel rooftop terrace. People were browsing through Borris Powell’s collections and simply enjoying the view and great atmosphere of the evening.
