Hi everyone,
Our last stop in Far East was Taiwan. We arrived in Taipei and then traveled south to Tainan, where we stayed for 2 days with my dear friend Peichen and her family. So I was lucky to get some glimpses at real Taiwanese life. One highlight was her cute 2 year old son, who won our hearts right away with his bright smile and big brown eyes.
Here is a short video about my Taiwan trip:
The most popular mode of transportation in Taiwan seems to be scooter. Even small kids sit or often stand in front of their drivers while shooting through the city.
But, by no means, women compromise on style.
If I lived on the island, I’d own one of the scooters below 😉
I still wanted to get something reminding me of my great time in Taiwan. So I purchased a more portable item than a scooter: a hut (and I wore it all the time).
Side note: this is the same dress I wrote about in a previous post.
My favorite fruit in Taiwan was guava. I ate plenty of fresh guava everyday and wouldn’t be surprised if Taiwan is now facing a guava crisis — a supply shortage as I had them all !!! 😉
I absolutely love how stylish Asian women can be, even when they go to a temple to pray.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Have you ever been to Far East Asia? What was your favorite food or fruit? I’d love to read about your stories.
Thanks for reading,
Mahshid

Great pictures – great video! I especially like the shots of scooters darting out of the ferry, and of all the exotic foods! 🙂

Thanks! Yes, those scooters…they are so popular over there and everywhere, even on the ferries 😉 The food was fantastic, specially stinky tofu, yummy 🙂
